By MAGATI OBEBOMore by this AuthorNine-year-old Stephanie Moraa, who was shot dead in Mathare during riots two weeks ago has been buried in Isecha, Manga in Kisii County. Her parents, Damacline and George Mokaya described her death as a blow to the family and demanded justice for their daughter. Mr Mokaya claimed those who killed his daughter had wanted to take the body but Mathare residents and human rights activists stood with them. Mr Mokaya Ingare, the grandfather to the girl urged the government to compensate the family for the loss. The parents believe their child was shot by police pursuing protesters, who had come out to demonstrate against the announcement of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory in the General Election.
