The deceased, identified as Sadikul Nahar Jhora, 17, was the adopted daughter of Fatema Begum Saju, vice chairman of Tajmuddin upazila. Speaking on the incident, Tajmuddin police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Ziaur Rahman said: “Police recovered the hanging body and sent it to Bhola Sadar Hospital.” Police were investigating the death, he added. According to police sources, Jhora slept in her room on Monday night. Later Fatema Begum Saju informed police about the matter.
