Bigstock'The college girl has made a statement under Section 22 of the Women and Children Repression Act in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Supriya Rahman'Police have arrested a local journalist in Bogra in a case filed over the rape of a college-going girl. Ahasan Habib Atik was arrested in the town’s Charmatha area on Monday night after the victim’s mother filed a case with Sadar police station. Atik is the staff reporter of the Bogra based daily ‘Mahasthan’ and joint secretary of Kahalu Press Club. According to the case statement, Ahsan Habib Atik developed a relationship with the girl through phone connection. Besides, Atik had some intimate photos with which he tried to blackmail the victim’s family.
