KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): A gardener was sentenced to two months' jail by the Sessions Court here for insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on his Facebook page. Judge M.M Edwin Paramjothy handed down the sentence on Sharil Mohd Sarif, 36, after he pleaded guilty to the charge on Friday (April 26). The father of four children aged between five and 12 was ordered to serve the sentence from the date of arrest on March 15. “Such cases often raise the question of freedom of expression and the interests of the government in protecting public order and strengthening unity.
