Artists selected for the Govett Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre residency programme will reside in their own homes this year. For the first time, a New Plymouth art gallery's artists in residencies will complete the programme from home, due to Covid-19. The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre received 160 applications to be the 2020 Artist in Residence. Sorawit Songsataya of Wellington, Meg Porteous of Auckland, and Yona Lee of Auckland have been chosen and will take up four-week residencies from their own studios or homes for the ‘In Residence’ project. The artist residencies will be followed by the presentation of their work across a range of platforms later in the year.
