Fuel retailer Z has apologised to customers who were overcharged for diesel at its unmanned Timaru service station on Stafford St between Saturday and Monday. A Z spokesperson said the company was made aware it had been displaying an incorrect price on its signage on Monday morning. The Commerce Commission confirmed it had received a complaint about display of fuel pricing at Z Timaru, which had not yet been assessed. The Z spokesperson said the price difference was the result of a “genuine” error, and the company was committed to resolving any payment issues experienced by customers.
