Nyamache secondary school dormitory and administration block caught fire on Monday evening barely three hours after education CS Fred Matiang'i left the institution. Dr Matiang'i held a funds drive in aid of the school, a fourth one to burn in Kisii county in a span of two days. Jairus Onchoke, Kisii county head teacher's association chairman, termed the arson at Nyamache as an embarrassment to the minister. Matiang'i was with six MPs from Kisii county to help raise funds for the school's infrastructure. On Saturday night, students at Mochenwa and Nominees SDA secondary schools also burnt dormitories at their school.
