MARANG: Four in a family died after their car crashed head-on with a tour bus at Km33 Jalan Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan, near the Marang prison on Saturday evening. It was learnt that the car was heading towards Marang while the bus was headed in the opposite direction, towards Kuantan, Pahang. Marang Fire and Rescue Department chief Hassan Embong said the department received an emergency call at 6.46pm and rushed six firemen to the location. He said firemen were facing an uphill task extricating the victims because at least half of the car is trapped under the bus. Meanwhile district police chief Deputy Superintendant Mohd Suhaimi Ali said the case will be investigated under the Section 41(1) of the Road and Transport Act 1987.
