BESTARI JAYA: Karangkraf Media Group founder and managing director, Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub, was conferred with the honorary degree of doctor of philosophy in communication by Universiti Selangor (Unisel). The scroll was presented by Unisel chancellor Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda at its 12th convocation ceremony here today. Hussamuddin, 63, was awarded with the degree for his contributions to the development of the publishing and printing industry in the country. Hussamuddin has also collaborated with other media organisations to raise awareness on Quran through the World Quran Hour programme. In 2010, he received an honorary degree of doctor of philosophy in business management from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak.
