The bodies were taken into police custody on Monday morning after locals reported them near the upazila’s Dabir Village, said Shibganj Police Station OC Sahid Mahmud Khan. The dead were between 38 and 40 years old, police said. All of the bodies had their throats slit and their hands tied behind their backs, said Dabir Village resident Jalal Uddin. They were wearing T-shirt, shirts and pants. Police are investigating whether the victims were killed elsewhere and then dumped in the area, the OC said.
