The four arrested in connection with the haul are Mohammed Umaru, Driver; his mate Wahab Abdulai; owner of the contraband, Stephen Avega; and Evans Isahaku a loader. The illegal consignment was loaded from Kpeve and heading to Togo when it was intercepted at the Honuta border post. But upon further checks customs officers detected a hard substance suspected to be Indian hemp wrapped in 2,172 and concealed in 85 bags. The driver and mate of the vehicle, the owner of the load and a loader have been handed over to the Narcotics Control Board together with the intercepted substance for further investigation in Accra.
