Smack in the middle of their Canadian music tour, members of Fort McMurray band Sentimental Gentlemen watched on television as wildfires tore through their city. As far as the musicians know, their homes are still standing, but the Alberta government has said residents might not be able to return until June. "Hopefully, we can be ambassadors for Fort McMurray to, not only raise money, but to also let people know what the community's about." Tour supportA wave of support has lifted the band's spirits for the second half of their tour. Band members are also taking on a new role as they tour and people in host cities learn more about where the band came from.
