Toronto financial district stabbing suspect Rohinie Bisesar is fit to stand trial for murder despite bizarre rants

The woman accused of stabbing a stranger to death in a drugstore in Toronto’s financial district last December is fit to stand trial, a mental health court judge has ruled. RelatedAfter a dozen court appearances, and little progress in her case, Bisesar fired her lawyer Calvin Barry on May 4. Her case will no longer be handled by the mental health court. When Bisesar first appeared in mental health court, she told the judge that she needs a “body scan,” not a psychiatric assessment. Rohinie Bisesar appeared in the specialized court at Old City Hall on Thursday to have the results of her psychiatric assessment considered.
