A tribute show titled "Morley Safer: A Reporter's Life" aired on 60 Minutes last Sunday, after Safer announced his retirement. On Thursday, the university tweeted, "We are honoured to have had the chance to know one of the greats of journalism, Morley Safer." When it came to his story-telling, Morley Safer did not limit himself to any country's borders or any city's boundaries. Morley Safer, the legendary 60 Minutes journalist, has died at the age of 84 at his home in Manhattan. CBC's chief correspondent Peter Mansbridge said he was both a friend and an admirer of legendary journalist Morley Safer.
