MELAKA: A former aide of a state DAP assemblyman and a businessman claimed trial to charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust (CBT) over a botched land deal in Kelantan amounting to almost RM2mil. The accused Wong Chi Sing, 54, and Mohd Haffiz Mohd Rasdib, 32, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Sessions Court Judge Norma Ismail on Friday. The duo face 11 charges under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property. The offences were allegedly committed between October 2014 and November 2015 at Taman Paya Emas in Melaka. The offences were allegedly committed between October 2012 and January 2014.
