EDMONTON — Bouquets of flowers have been lovingly placed outside the Bunches Flower Co. in Edmonton’s Southgate Centre mall, a colourful tribute to the flower shop’s co-owner who died after intervening in a robbery. “While our hearts remain shattered, we are strengthened and consoled by these beautiful expressions of love and kindness,” wrote members of Iain Armstrong’s family on a memorial page filled with messages of love and support. Armstrong’s family confirmed the 61-year-old family man was badly beaten while trying to stop the robbery of a nearby kiosk on Tuesday around 10:25 a.m. He was rushed to the University of Alberta hospital suffering from a broken neck and a traumatic brain injury. Iain owned Bunches Flower Co. with his brother Eric, working together for 27 years.
