GEORGE TOWN: Penang's economy will be considerably optimistic and strong for the whole of 2020, according to a forecast by the Tua Pek Kong deity. The prediction was made by the deity during the annual Chneah Hoay (flame-watching) ceremony at Hai Choo Soo Temple in Tanjung Tokong here late Friday (Feb 7). Poh Hock Seah Temple honorary secretary Lim Hooi Kooi said all three flames ignited during the ceremony were bright and strong, especially the second flame. "For the first and last flame, they were also bright and strong, signifying a good economy outlook. "This is the first time in some 10 years that we are witnessing three strong flames, signifying a good economic outlook for Penang," he added.
