Let us do our job, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: NGOs have been asked to let the police do their job and to stop trying to score political points, says the Inspector-General of Police. Commenting on the M. Indira Gandhi case, Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said those self-proclaimed “champions” should stop being self-centred. Abdul Hamid said he had certain information that he could not share publicly at the moment, even in the face of public pressure. Legal firm Raj and Sach wanted Abdul Hamid to explain his statement that a “win-win” solution was needed to protect Prasana’s welfare. “The IGP has failed to give effect to the order of the Federal Court, ” the lawyers said in a statement on Jan 30.
