Twisted corrugated iron, debris and ash are all that's left of a house that went up in flames in Hawke’s Bay on Tuesday morning. A helicopter crew and firefighters from across the region were called to the blaze on Waikoau​ Road near Tangoio​ about 10.40am. The fire spread to trees surrounding the property, but with no wind, fire crews were able to control the flames quickly.
