A transport truck collided with a stationary vehicle on Highway 401 early Wednesday morning, a fiery crash that closed down the highway. Highway 401 remains closed between Gananoque, about 170 kilometres south of Ottawa, and Lansdowne following the collision. The Ontario Provincial Police have been tweeting updates on the crash since 5:40 a.m. when they responded. Highway 401 is shut down between County Road 2 and Reynolds Road in Lansdowne with the eastbound lanes closure extending to the Thousand Island Parkway. There was no one inside the stationary vehicle at the time, she added.
