Two specially-abled women, who are also disability-rights activists, were allegedly humiliated at Kolkata Airport while travelling to Delhi on Sunday. After a heated altercation and firm refusal from Jeeja, the staff allowed her to board the flight. Jeeja told Zee media that she was shocked by the treatment meted out to her and finds it humiliating. Kuhu Das alleged that she was asked by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) staff to take off her jeans as she wears calliper on her leg. Speaking to told Zee Media, Ms Das wondered how the CISF can be so insensitive when there are specific norms.
