The environmentalists have alleged that the trees were removed only to solve the hawking menace and give a better look to the Old Nagardas road. They also say that the trees on the roads give shabby look to the road. I had approached the superintendent of gardens in May and complained that how the trees are being removed for silly reasons. Out of the trees removed, some are already dead. The trees are removed by obtaining all required permissions and the reason to remove the trees is to utilize the road fully.
