BESUT: Police arrested a 30-year-old woman and her father on Pulau Perhentian on Sunday and Monday separately for suspected drug trafficking. District police chief Superintendent Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi said the unemployed woman was nabbed at a burger stall in Pasir Panjang, Pulau Perhentian on Monday. He said the woman, who has a previous drug record, was taken to Kampung Raja police station for further investigation. Zamri said a team from the Besut police station surrounded the stall before arresting the men who were high on drugs in the 4pm raid. Both cases were being investigated under Section 39A(1) of the Drug Dangerous Act 1952 for drug trafficking.
