PETALING JAYA: There were no surprises as the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) named four singles players, including Paris Olympics bronze medallist Lee Zii Jia, for the Thomas Cup in Horsens, Denmark from April 24-May 3. 2 pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, alongside Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun and independent pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani. The team will be looking to end their long wait for the Thomas Cup title, having last won it in 1992 in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, the women’s squad for the Uber Cup feature four singles players led by K. Letshanaa, alongside Wong Ling Ching, Siti Zulaikha Azmi and Goh Jin Wei. The women’s team have also been drawn in Group B alongside six-time champions Japan, Turkiye and South Africa.
