Wuchale Town ( Photo : SM/File)borkenaHeavy fighting is reported between Fano forces and government soldiers in Wuchale town, South Wollo, Amhara region of Ethiopia. The fighting broke out on Sunday after Fano Forces launched a surprise attack on government forces in the town, according to a report by Ethiopian Media Services (EMS) which cited sources from the area. However, the Defense Force is said to have control of the Ambasel Mountain from which it is shelling Wuchale town. The Wollo area of the Amhara region – especially the north part- has recently seen recurring fighting between the Fano Forces and government forces. Other media outlets with links in the Amhara region have been reporting recurring clashes between Fano forces and government forces in Gojam, Shewa, and Gondar as well.
