Noting that most of the technical institutes lacked well-trained faculty, he said it was essential for the faculty to keep abreast of technology that is rapidly changing. “Young faculty members must update their knowledge and communicate to the students in a better way. Rajya Sabha member and KITS secretary V. Lakshmikantha Rao, said it was training for trainers. Principal P. Venkateswara Rao, ECE department head G. Raghotham Reddy, program co-ordinator K. Ashoka Reddy, co-cordinators B. Narsihma and D. Venu, assistant professors of ECE, 50 participants from three states — Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — were among those present.
