Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have become soft targets of reckless motorists in recent time, a development exposing them to serious risks, while on duty. Within seven months, October 2017 to May 2018, two officials of Ogun State command were knocked down while on patrol; aside several unreported cases, along the state corridors. The Ogun State FRSC Sector Commander, Clement Oladele told The Guardian that one of the casualties died, while the other has resumed work. “The first was recorded along Abeokuta-Sagamu highway on October 13, 2017, while the most recent was along the Ijebu-Ode Ore expressway on May 19, 2018. The drivers involved in the two cases were both arrested.
