Ogun tasks pilgrims on proper conduct

Ogun State government has enjoined all intending Christian pilgrims in the state to be of good behaviour and shun any act capable of causing diplomatic embarrassment for the state and Nigeria in general. Chairman, Ogun State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Archbishop Oludotun Ogunseye, who said this during the sensitisation programme organised for the rescheduled April/ May Easter pilgrims in July/August 2018 at Chapel of Glory in Abeokuta, explained that the state could not afford to lose its good reputation. He warned that, they should not ever nurse the idea of absconding, as it could be a suicide mission. He said the April/May Easter pilgrimage was delayed till July 2018 due to fresh political crisis between the State of Israel and Palestine. Odejobi emphasised that all certified intending pilgrims from state would be air-lifted to Israel in batches with other Southwest states from today to August 7, 2018, submitting that the constraints, among others, had been resolved.
