In fact, India has not lost a match at Kolkata’s iconic stadium since a 0-3 defeat to Saudi Arabia in the Asian Cup Qualifiers in August 2006. In November, a Manvir Singh strike helped India eke out a 1-0 win in Kuwait City in the first matchday of the World Cup Qualifiers.
