The suspect, identified only as Nikorn, 43, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of committing indecent assault against a person aged over 15, according to Pol Col Phisit Meewiriyakul, the station superintendent. Reports said the suspect is a former rescue volunteer from another area who was still covertly active in an emergency‑alert Line group. After a lengthy investigation on Wednesday, police said the suspect admitted to sexually assaulting the victim and taking obscene photographs of her.
