MANILA, Philippines — Former Palace official and professor of the University of the Philippines (UP) Renato Velasco has died, the university confirmed Saturday. The UP Department of Political Science announced that Velasco, who served as an associate professor of the Department of Political Science, passed away on April 4, Saturday, three months before he turned 67 this July.
