Kaitlyn McMonigle grew up in Ocala and loved music and performing from a young age. In 2010, she won the Opera Club of The Villages’ Harold S. Schwartz Music Scholarship, which helped catapult her into a tremendous music education and fruitful singing career. Eight years later, McMonigle is returning to The Villages to perform in “Three Tenors Plus One,” the show that raises money for the scholarship she won. “This scholarship can make a world of difference for a talented high schooler who wants to pursue a musical career.” The Opera Club established the Harold S. Schwartz Music Scholarship in 1997 and started putting on “Three Tenors Plus One,” the following year. Over the past two decades, the show has grown in size and scope, and has found a home at the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center.
