The first baseline competency test for Maths and first language was held on July 28 and 29 and now, the education department is all set to hold the second one for all schools before Diwali. Hence, schools should provide proper details prior to the department, states the circular. Uday Nare, teacher Hansraj Morarji Public School, said: "We have received a circular regarding baseline test and school principals have been asked to come for meeting on September 13. Our only concern is why is the education department wasting money by holding exam manually for the students." The baseline test will be conducted for students from Std 1 to 8 across the state.
