The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has summoned a government official to record a statement as part of ongoing investigations into matters relating to asset verification and procurement processes. The summons, issued under Section 52 of the National Police Service Act No. 11A of 2011, notes that the Commission has “reasons to believe” the official may have information relevant to the investigation. The requisition follows a search operation conducted earlier the same day at the official’s residence and office. EACC further noted that any subsequent action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing review.
