President William Ruto has issued a three-month ultimatum to the contractor building a road linking the Mogotio-Ravine road, warning that failure to complete the project within that timeframe will lead to termination of the contract. Ruto expressed dissatisfaction at what he termed as continued suffering by the residents due to the delayed completion of the road, yet only a small stretch remains. (I met the contractor doing that road today and told him that if that road is not finished within three months, he should pack up and leave)Ruto was addressing residents in Mogotio town during his development tour of Baringo County. The completion of the road, Ruto noted, would ease movement, enable trade between Mogotio and Ravine and foster regional economic integration.
