AS STORM Storm Goretti’s impact wanes, the Met Office has issued a slew of snow and ice warnings which are set to heap more misery on Brits. A slew of weather warnings for ice covering Saturday and Sunday have been issued for most of Scotland, London & South East England, North West England, South West England, the West Midlands, Yorkshire and Humber and Wales. Further yellow warnings for ice have now been issued for Southern England due to partially melted snow refreezing alongside freezing fog and wintry showers. The warning was issued from 12pm today, continuing through the night until lunchtime on Saturday, according to the Met Office. Chiltern Railways plans to operate around half of its normal timetable and West Midlands Railway warned customers not to travel until this afternoon.
