Ang, 44, and two other runners were mowed down by driver Teoh Thiam Lim, 30, while they were running as pacers in the Klang City International Marathon on Dec 10, 2017. He said that Teoh’s act of reckless driving had robbed Ang of her life. “As my wife lay bleeding on the roadside with another injured runner, Aminuddin, Mr Teoh chose not to stop,” said Loo. The magistrate also ordered for Teoh’s driving licence to be suspended for three years as well as for the mishap to be recorded in it. The charge was later amended to causing death by reckless or dangerous driving under the same Act.
