Police said Bhola Roy was subjected to a breathalyser test around 1am on National Highway 2 near Asansol. "The alcohol level in Roy's blood was double the permissible limit," an officer in the Asansol police commissionerate said. "He has been prosecuted under Section 185 of the motor vehicles act and we have recommended suspension of his driving licence." Drink driving is a major cause of road accidents in the city and on the highways.
