I’ve been thinking about those remarks in a slightly different way — about the danger of paying too much attention to the loud voices in politics and ignoring the quiet ones. Back here in Canada, it’s a good reminder for all of us who cover or follow politics as well. It’s something to keep in mind in Canadian politics too: disaffected citizens aren’t just the ones consuming all the oxygen in the room.
