Shoppers hit Winnipeg stores as soon as doors flew open Friday morning to take advantage of Black Friday deals. Shoppers snatched up sale items as soon as stores opened. Jeff Hoad said in his experience, the Black Friday deals in Canada are about the same as what's on offer in the U.S. in recent years. The state of the market kept Jeff Hoad and his family planted in Winnipeg for Black Friday this year. Hoad said deals in the U.S. and Canada have generally been about the same in recent years and he feels better about keeping his money invested in Winnipeg stores.
