Grab a banjo and join the Bluegrass Performance Club for some good ol’ pickin’ and grinning. That’s exactly what Bill Canna, of the Village of Gilchrist, above, did one Wednesday afternoon. Canna typically strums his banjo to the sounds of Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley or the Lonesome River Band. If you’re a musician, bring a banjo, fiddle, upright bass, mandolin or guitar — but no amplifier. Or simply come to the jam session to listen and sing along to the tunes of traditional and progressive bluegrass.
