Tropical Cyclone Goni will move westwards and skirt around 800 kilometers south of Hong Kong tonight and tomorrow morning, its direct threat to the territory is relatively low, said the Hong Kong Observatory. Goni has further weakened to Tropical Storm after making landfall as a Super Typhoon in the Philippines, now moving across the central part of the South China Sea, according to the observatory’s forecast. Meanwhile, Tropical Cyclone Atsani will linger over the seas east of the Philippines. It will then have a chance to move towards the Luzon Strait and enter the northern part of the South China Sea. The weather for today and in the next few days will be mainly fine and dry, it will also be windier midweek this week.-Photo: HKO
