Dexter Carlos Sr., the head of the family that was massacred in San Jose del Monte Bulacan last month, is no longer considered a “person of interest” the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) said on Thursday. PAO chief Persida Acosta said investigators found no evidence that would link Carlos to the killing of his wife, mother-in-law and three children inside their home on June 27. In an emailed statement to The Manila Times, Acosta, whose office was representing Carlos Sr., quoted investigators in the case as saying that “not a single evidence came out linking Dexter to the crime.”Hence, “there is no basis to conduct a polygraph test with Dexter,” Acosta said. She pointed out that the result of a polygraph test is not considered as conclusive evidence. Aaron Aquino, Central Luzon police director, suggested that Carlos be subjected to a polygraph test.
