WB, ADB willing to help Marawi

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) the World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB) are willing to provide technical assistance for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Marawi City. “The World Bank has expressed interest in helping,” Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia told reporters in an interview. The banks will also help determine the needs for reconstruction and rehabilitation over the short, medium and long term. “ADB has also expressed interest in formulating a technical project for rehabilitation and reconstruction of Marawi. So I guess ADB and WB will be collaborating, I don’t think they should be competing,” he said.
