The maximum temperature registered on Tuesday was 39.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season’s average while the minimum temperature settled at 30.5 degrees, two degrees above normal, according to IMD officials. “The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 36 and 30 degrees,” the IMD official said. On Monday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 38.6 and 30.4 degrees Celsius respectively. Meanwhile, Delhiites have been long awaiting the monsoon to get respite from the rising humidity.
