MARANG: A fisherman landed an unlikely catch on Thursday after a seven metre-long python got caught in his net at an unused mining pool near Lubuk Mandi in Rusila, here. Adam said the man alerted his friends before attempting to remove the python from the net using several ropes. He said the python, which weighed about 300kg, was captured and sent to JPAM’s office here the same day. “The captured python is being kept at our office and we will hand it over to the Kemaman Zoo soon,” he said today.
