The Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. (DCCCII) stressed the importance of digital transformation to businesses, especially to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), amid the pandemic. Doromal added that businesses need to shift and pivot their plans to bringing goods and services to their clients using different platforms. Meanwhile, Davao City Investment and Promotion Center head of Investor Assistance Servicing Unit Christian Cambaya said the city government is also moving towards digitalization. New Zealand-based agency Zeald introduced Get E-commerce Movement (GEM) Philippines, the free digital transformation initiative of the company. GEM Philippines aims to extend help to small businesses in the Philippines, beginning with Davao.
