MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday said that no Filipinos were injured or were among the casualties in the bomb blast that occurred in Pattani, South Thailand. The department said that the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok gave the update on overseas Filipino workers in Southern Thailand. The DFA assured the public that the Philippine Embassy will continue to monitor the situation and report further developments. “The Embassy is coordinating closely with the Thai authorities to ensure the continued safety of Filipinos in the area,” the agency said in a statement. On Tuesday, suspected insurgents detonated a car bomb outside a busy shopping center in southern Thailand.
