In a chance interview with reporters at the Sandiganbayan, Napoles' lawyer, Stephen David said their camp is considering to file a petition for bail before the Supreme Court (SC) to seek Napoles' release from her plunder cases. David said they are also studying the possibility of filing a motion for plea bargain deal to lower Napoles' cases from plunder to a bailable offense. “We can file another petition for bail or we can ask for plea bargaining. Sandiganbayan's jurisdictionDavid, however, acknowledged, that it is the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan who now has the sole jurisdiction over Napoles and not the DOJ. David said he will be filing a manifestation before the court to seek Napoles' transfer to another detention facility, most likely the NBI.
