KEPALA BATAS: The Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) wants the government to consider salary and allowance revision, bonus and promotion for numerous positions in the civil service under Budget 2018. "In line with the government's aim to improve the standard of the civil service into world class, we hope the government will focus on the well-being of the civil servants from time to time. He said there were currently 1.602 million civil servants in the country, serving the government to further develop the nation. Zainal said Cuepacs hoped the salary revision would take into account annual increments, standardise allowances, bonus of one month salary and promotion from 13 to 10 years. "We are fighting to have at least two salary increments annually, standardise allowances, bonus of one month compared to just RM500 presently and faster chance of promotion.
